'You keep working at your dream, knocking on doors and working those angles. Guess living the life of an artist is like being a sculpture... cutting and chipping away at that blank slate of marble until that vision is realized in the real world and hopefully it will help make it a better place by inspiring and wakening the human spirit so that we may know truth and wisdom in both the darkest of hours and moments of triumph. Man is an amazing and terrifying creature when we truly and earnestly contemplate the promise of Man.'

It was the thought that occurred to me. Over the past year or so I and my fellow company have been working on getting BTP (Black Tent Productions) off the ground. Trials and tribulations have occurred, as it is with any artistic endeavor, but Michelangelo's idea that in every stone there is a sculptor and that it is the artist's task to discover it.
But that is only the beginning. The artist can keep it under the basket or unveil it, and then of course the bumps and bruises that are to be expected. Such is the Journey of BTP, where one prospect sets on a different course, and just keeping your chin up and knowing that in the end it will be worth it.
BTP's first project in hand has jumped track to another project and then another because of unforeseen circumstances., but still we are marching forward. But if this past year has taught anything is not to sweat the small stuff and just keep at it.
Now things are coming together and yes it has been aggravating and at times trying., but in the end it all will be worth it.
BTP has a few projects in the fire and are waiting to see which path will open up and manifest much like the Michelangelo's Sculpture trapped in naked stone and marble. It will be fires and trials of life that will allow BTP to show the world what we are made and the visions that we shall come to dream into the world.
