Artistic Integrity
As an artist, and a writer I am armed with a simple thing; an idea and the thought it. With it I can come to create and destroy worlds of thoughts. As Uncle Ben told Peter Parker, "With great power comes great responsibility."
Often 'We' artists' tend to forgot or shoo aside like some nagging fly.
No matter what form or medium, we artist come to inspire, challenge and question the world of Man in all its nuances of possibilities and improbabilities. We in our art come to shape and define and even destroy, government and religious in ideologies and principles where a word and an image comes to quicken some greater vision. We as artists are the dreamers of dreams an in this we come to create and destroy.
But also in our art, we come to create social norms and perceptions where good and bad, right and wrong, just and unjust, ever while whispering some promise and dread of some thing in 'What if?' in a simple language of hope and fear.
We are Artist and in our art we will come to inspire or destroy, to give hope and cast a shadow fear; but the question is, "To what end?"
This is something at 'We Artists' should in a moment or two ponder and consider that simple but beautiful and yet terrifying possibility. It is we, the artist who comes to change and shape the world with a simple idea of a thing. We breathe it into the world where the heart comes to live it in countless lives of dreams.
Should we not then consider our acts of art even more so?
